1. Test Results

In effort to provide legible statistic guideline, Pedantis have started preliminary testing at few locations, aiming to identify overall level of technical proficiency of candidates from variety age groups, with different education and various previous employment experiences. Statistic results published below are based on 1000 tests conducted among candidates with previous employment experience at the same or similar position in hotel operations. Reading through the results, it is important to consider that industry standards in sanitation, equipment and products in different countries might vary based on cultural specifics, availability and prevailing industry practices. However the results obtained through the preliminary testing prove that despite the regional specifics, level of technical proficiency is more or less the same among candidates qualified for specific position. Of course it is at Client’s discretion to determine at what level of minimum proficiency candidates would be accepted, considering operational structure and specifics.

2. Test Results Overview

Further below is detailed review of preliminary test results separated by department. Each department displays median / prevailing percentage of results for given module of the test. Majority of tested candidates have demonstrated good basic knowledge in all modules of the test, and candidates found qualified for higher positions were usually those with better previous employment experience, and broader industrial exposure. Educational and social background had limited impact on overall test results, usually offset by international exposure or longer practical experience.

3. Pedantis Technical Specifications

Pedantis Evaluation is testing platform that permits high degree of customization. Based on Organizational or Operational needs, we are able to create customized testing platform to meet specific requirements or to import segments or modules that might be of importance or higher value to given Client.

Pedantis Evaluation software is for free distribution; however individual tests/licenses need to be purchased on line for a minimal fee.

Each Pedantis Evaluation contains fifty test questions randomly generated from separate database containing the questionnaire for each department. Each department questionnaire contains four hundred and fifty questions which guarantee that each test is unique and cannot be duplicated, thus providing high degree of result accuracy. Each question has multiple answers, but only one is correct. Considering the test objective and in attempt to provide further accuracy, Technical Proficiency questions have the highest value contribution to the total test result.

To avoid unauthorized editing or tampering, Test Results are generated individually in PDF Format and could be printed or exported in CSV for upload and verification on Pedantis website

Considering the significance of test results, and to avoid misuse or misinterpretation of test results, we recommend that Pedantis Evaluations are conducted in controlled environment at designated test location.

Pedantis Evaluation is stand-alone platform that will not require Internet Access for installation or conducting the test itself, which makes the testing system portable and easy to use in field events.
